Another short trip home and another quick trip out on the water. I grab my coffee and hop on the bike to head toward the lighthouse to see if I can get any good sunrise shots. The humidity is unforgiving in the morning and my equipment keeps fogging up. There are worse things than sitting on the beach with a coffee and watching the sunrise. I bike back home and congratulate myself on the 18 mile trip that yielded 0 photos. Now onto something productive. Tacos! My step brother is in town and asked me for lunch. We exchange sarcasm and barbs for about an hour and then take goofy photos to show his mom how good we still get along. Finally it gets to that point in time where I get to go out on the water! Pulling the board off the top of the jeep is still something funny to watch if anyone ever gets the chance. Today has a little surprise though. Aside from the typical manatees and dolphins I noticed a few bonnetheads. I love how people always say, "I can't get in the water! What if there are sharks?!" Odds are, there might be a shark, and odds are, they want nothing to do with you. I can't say I've chased a shark around on foot very often but it was kinda fun and I'm glad the little guy found his way back out to deeper water. Few more days of soaking up salt and then I'm back off again.
