Someone told me to drive along hood river, so I did. My suggestion is to get there early, you can avoid the crowds, the parking hassle and get lucky enough to not get too many people in your shots. It seems like every 100 ft theres another waterfall just as magnificent as the previous but stunning in its own way. And it's true, each one is different from the next and has it's own beauty. My favorite, and of course I forgot its name, was carved into a mountain side made of basalt rock leaving hexagonal pillars exposed as though an architect had strategically placed them there. Creeping florescent moss grows up the side and cold spray showers your face. If you feel like taking a dip there are a few you can swim in, but brace yourself, the chill feels like pins and needles.
